Chronic cough, lasting for more than 2 months, is a complex problem that often requires a combined approach between an ENT and a pulmonary specialist (respirologist).\u00a0<\/p>

Multiple problems can cause chronic cough:<\/p>

– <\/span>chronic sinusitis<\/p>

– <\/span>allergies and rhinitis<\/p>

– <\/span>reflux laryngitis (stomach reflux going up to the throat)<\/p>

– <\/span>laryngeal neuropathy<\/p>

– <\/span>bronchial asthma<\/p>

– <\/span>lung cancer<\/p>

An ENT evaluation includes an endoscopic evaluation (with a camera) of the nose and throat to identify the ENT causes explaining chronic cough. It is possible that your ENT specialist will prescribe treatments for sinusitis or reflux if they think these contribute to your cough.
