Otology and skull base surgery

The subspecialty of Otolaryngology that takes care of simple and complex problems with hearing and balance is called Otology and Skull base surgery.

An otologist (skull base surgeon) generally completes medical school (four or five years), a residency in Otolaryngology (five years), then one or two years of subspecialized fellowship.
